The Firm

Givler Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1999 to provide consulting services in civil and environmental engineering. With offices in San Antonio, Texas and Easton, Pennsylvania it provides services throughout the states of Texas and Pennsylvania. The firm specializes in dams, water resources, municipal engineering, site design, computer models, physical models, and expert witness services.

Our Company

The firm incorporated January 1, 2001 and specializes in civil engineering projects such as dams, water resources, municipal engineering and site design.

 

Givler Engineering, Inc. is certified with the SCTRCA as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Cert. No. 201102316.  The firm currently employs Professional Engineers, Designers, CAD Technicians, Environmental Specialists and Administrative Staff.

L. David Givler

L. David Givler, MSCE, PE is the president of the firm.  He is a technical expert in hydrology and hydraulics with experience since 1984.  His experience in municipal engineering and site development began in 1987.  He obtained his Master of Science in hydraulics in 1986 from Lehigh University and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1984 from Lafayette College.  He registered as a Professional Engineer in 1990 in Pennsylvania (No. PE-040565-E) and in 1993 in Texas (No. 73842).

 

Mr. Givler formerly worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and several consulting firms.  He has also worked on projects in Gabon, Africa.

Charles A. Givler

Charles A. Givler, PHD, PE is an associate engineer of Givler Engineering.  He has extensive knowledge of dams, water resources, flooding, concrete, steel, pavements, and construction practices.  His engineering and construction experience began in 1958.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Penn State in 1957, his Master of Science from MIT in 1959, and his Doctorate from Cornell in 1970.

 

Dr. Givler is registered as a Professional Engineer in six states.  He has worked for several other consulting firms and construction firms.  He was also a professor at three colleges and universities.
