FTP Site Information
Givler Engineering, Inc.
provides a central web-based location for transferring files via the Internet using a File
Transfer Protocol (FTP).

FTP Procedure for Internet Explorer
Passive FTP mode must be
disabled to use this FTP server. Microsoft
Internet Explorer includes a setting for Passive FTP mode. You may need to disable
this setting to allow Internet Explorer to work as an FTP client. Follow
these instructions to change this setting:
- Open Internet
Explorer from the Start Menu.
- On the Internet Explorer menu, click Tools and select Internet
Options.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Next, find the setting called Use Passive FTP (located
approximately halfway down in the list of settings).
- To disable the Passive FTP feature, remove the checkmark in the box next to the Use
Passive FTP setting.
- Click OK to save the
Passive FTP setting.
Once Passive FTP mode has been disabled, Select ftp://97.77.188.146/
Select ''Cancel'' once or twice until a blank page is displayed.
Select the ''Page'' pull down menu on the right side of the Internet
Explorer Window.
Select ''Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer'' and wait for the next dialog
box.
Enter the UserName and Password as provided by Givler
Engineering then Select "log on''.
When the connection is complete, an FTP dialog box will appear which identifies the files
and folders at the site. You can use the same edit commands and actions at the FTP site
that you use with Windows Explorer or My Computer.

 | Givler Engineering recommends downloading and
installing the following FTP Client software: |
Click on this link FTP Client
"Save" this file to your workstation then "Run" it to
perform the installation.
The FTP Client software is a preferred method
for downloads & uploads if offers data buffering and error correction to prevent file
corruption. Create a site with the following parameters using the "Site
Manager":
Profile Name: Givler Engineering FTP Site
Host Address: 76.77.188.146
Username and Password: Contact Givler Engineering, Inc. for a current
UserName and Password.
Note: All other settings are (default) as shown in the image
below.

When the connection has been established, refer to the on-line
documentation of the software to determine the proper methods for uploading and
downloading files.
