FTP Information

Instructions for Accessing the File Transfer Protocol Web Site:

  1. Obtain a User Name and a Password from Givler Engineering, Inc.
  2. In Windows, go to Start then Computer. In the address line type: ftp.givlerengineering.com
  3. Enter the User Name and a Password information. You should now have access to the FTP site

  • Use the following instructions ONLY if you are having issues with Internet Explorer.
    1. On Internet Explorer’s menu, click Tools and select Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab.
    3. Find the setting called Use Passive FTP.
    4. Disable the Passive FTP feature by removing the checkmark in the box next to the Use Passive FTP setting.
    5. Click OK to save the Passive FTP setting.
    6. Copy and Paste this link into your browser: ftp.givlerengineering.com
    7. Select Cancel once or twice until a blank page is displayed.
    8. Select the Page pull down menu on the upper right side of the Internet Explorer window.
    9. Select Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer and wait for the next dialog box.
    10. Enter the User Name and Password and select log on.
